Advanced
Remedial and Sports Massage Therapy involves the manipulation of the body’s
soft tissues, to treat a wide variety of problems and conditions, sport and
non sport related, using a wide variety of very powerful and effective manual
techniques,
These include:
·
myofascial release
·
multi-directional deep friction
·
muscle energy techniques (MET)
·
neuromuscular techniques
·
trigger point therapy
·
contract / relax / stretch
·
soft tissue release
·
traction
·
mobilisations
The aim is to
identify and treat the cause of the problem and not just treat the symptoms.
To achieve this, a structural assessment is often necessary followed by
gentle re-alignment to rebalance and return the body to its best possible
state. This is achieved using a combination of the above techniques as
necessary.
After resolution of the problem, a body maintenance programme is recommended;
this involves regular visits for check-ups and massage; as is a structured
exercise and stretching regime.
Some of the problems that
